by: TwoPuttTommy

Tue Jun 01, 2010 at 12:47:44 PM CDT

Ladies and Gentlemen, yours truly - the ol' TwoPutter - is Guest Hosting this afternoon's Tuesday Edition of "Quick On The UpTake" from 5:00 to 6:00pm on AM-950 KTNF, The Voice of Minnesota. Mike McIntee is taking some well-earned time time off.  I'll be joined in studio by the intrepid political analyst, Dusty Trice!

In addition to talking about important news, we'll take a break from politics to have an in-studio conversation with one of Minnesota's Citizen-Soldiers - Major Rickert - which we feel is fitting as a tribute to those who have worn the uniform on this day after Memorial Day.  Major Rickert will be talking, among other things, about the recent alert that as many as 2,700 fellow Minnesotans may be deployed to Iraq and Kuwait as that war winds down.

We'll also be joined in-studio by candidate for congress in Minnesota's 2nd District, Dan Powers.

Mike is actually taking this week off; tomorrow MPP's very own The Big E will be behind the microphone, and I'll be covering again on Thursday and Friday!

While I'll let The Big E write about what he's got planned for tomorrow's show, I do want to let folk know what we've got for Thursday - you're not going to want to miss it!

We're going to be interviewing (again!) best-selling author and weekly opinion columnist for the Wall Street Journal, Thomas Frank! Thomas Frank's latest book is The Wrecking Crew - How Conservatives Ruined Government, Enriched Themselves, And Beggared The Nation". Mr. Frank is a great conversationalist, and we're lucky to have him on for a whole half-hour!!!

If you need a copy of "The Wrecking Crew", AM950 sponsor CommonGoodBooks.com has it! They also have Frank's other books, like "What's The Matter With Kansas?".  Oh - and tell 'em TwoPutt sent ya, will ya?

So tune in your radio today to AM-950, or listen live on your computer, here.

Ladies and Gentlemen, yours truly - the ol' TwoPutter - is Guest Hosting this afternoon's Friday Edition of "Quick On The UpTake" from 5:00 to 6:00pm on AM-950 KTNF, The Voice of Minnesota.  "Quick On The UpTake" Host Mike McIntee is busily preparing for the last Political Party State Convention; the IP Party is meeting in Bloomington tomorrow.  I'll be joined in studio by Spot from The Cucking Stool!

And, to no surprise, we'll be talking about The State Supreme Court's spanking of Gov. TBag for creating a problem by 1- signing the next biennium's spending bills into law and then 2- vetoing the revenue bill to match "income" to said lawfully-enacted spending bills ("balance the budget") and then 3- violating state law by unilaterally slashing spending on bills TBag  just signed; which, of course, was 4-  BEFORE the start of the next biennium.

Spot has several great posts over at The Cucking Stool on TBag getting spanked; you'll want to listen in to Spot's take on this!  As always, call 952-946-6205 to join the conversation!

As always on Friday's Edition of Quick On The UpTake, we'll also be getting a call from Dane Smith from GrowthAndJustice.org.

And just because we can, we'll be giving away one copy of "False Witness! The Michele Bachmann Story (Volume 1)",  to one lucky listener -- courtesy of AM-950 KTNF sponsor Common Good Books - so, pay attention and call in when asked!!!

Tomorrow (Saturday, May 8th), the ol' TwoPutter will be Guest Hosting Radio Cafe with Cathy Hauser from 2:00 to 3:00 pm on AM950 - KTNF.  I'll be joined in-studio by Dusty Trice!

Ladies and Gentlemen, yours truly - the ol' TwoPutter - is Guest Hosting tonight's Wednesday Edition of "Minnesota Matters" on AM-950 KTNF, The Voice of Minnesota.  I'll be joined in studio by ace field reporter and analyst, Dusty Trice!

In addition to talking about breaking news, and absentee Gov. TBag getting caught with his hands in the cookie jar, we'll be talking again with Mike Tikkanen, author of "Invisible Children (The American cycle of abuse and its cost)."  Mike Tikkanen is the founder of Kid's At Risk Action Group (KARA), a non-profit devoted to protecting and advocating for the rights of abused children.  If you are concerned about the least among us, and those that Mike advocates for - children - are just that, this is a show you won't want to miss.

Especially because the following quote is sure to be discussed:

"Children who are victims of failed personal responsibility are not my problem, nor are they the problem for our government."  -- Majority Leader Tim Pawlenty, April 2001 - as quoted in the Aitkin Independent Newspaper (entire column available here)

Opinion: Maureen Reed Is Wasting Our Time, Handing Another Victory To Michele Bachmann

by: dustytrice

Wed Mar 10, 2010 at 15:44:43 PM CST

(Somehow, I think Dusty might be bringing this up on the radio tonight, on AM950, at 6:00 pm.... - promoted by TwoPuttTommy)

I've got a bone to pick with Maureen Reed. Yesterday Maureen Reed's campaign sent out a really whiney email implying that people are trying to twist her campaign's record. I figured I should probably chime in, you know because I'm bored and whatnot.

In the email Reed sent out she says people are claiming that she'll run as an independent and corrects the record saying that she's running as a 'Proud DFLer'. Ok fine, she PREVIOUSLY ran as an independent and claims rather boldly that she can rally independents. The reality is that her 2006 run dramatically underperformed other independents who've run in CD6. I don't know who or what a Binkowski is, but it seems to know more about reaching independents in CD6 than Maureen Reed.

About that independent record of hers... It's probably the reason Tim Pawlenty is waltzing off into the 2012 Presidential campaign sunset right now. Sure T-Paw bested Mike Hatch by 21,108 votes, and much of the blame can be pinned on the Hatch campaign, BUT the 141,735 votes that Maureen Reed helped peel away certainly can't add much to her proud DFLer status. By my count that's 120,000 reasons for us to blame Maureen Reed for Pawlenty's re-election.

So, tune in your radio today to AM-950, or listen live on your computer, here.  Joining in-studio will be ace field reporter/political analyst Dusty Trice!

In addition to talking about news, we're going to be interviewing Jacob Reitan about what has to be done to repeal Don't Ask Don't Tell so our homosexual brothers and sisters can defend our great country without having to hide who they are --- and one of those things that has to be done, to get this done, is there are a whole bunch of Democratic Party Senators and CongressCritters need to GET A SPINE.

We'll also be talking with Eliot Seide, Executive Director of AFSCME Minnesota Council 5.  Last Wednesday, at a Labor Rally at the Capitol in St. Paul, Mr. Seide held a model of a human backbone and told Minnesota's legislators to GET A SPINE.

There will be no sacred cows on tonight's "Minnesota Matters - Get A Spine" Edition.

In honor of the release of Volume 3, we'll definitely  play "False Or False Witness!" where one lucky caller will have to correctly identify if a quote I read was actually uttered by Michele Bachmann (answer "False Witness!") or if yours truly, the ol' TwoPutter, simply made it up (answer "false").  The fabulous prize awarded, courtesy of show sponsor Common Good Books, is one complete set of ALL THREE of Bill Prendergast's exceptional comic book:  "False Witness! Fri Feb 05, 2010 at 11:41:20 AM CST

Ladies and Gentlemen, yours truly - the ol' TwoPutter - is hosting, as usual, the Friday Edition of "Minnesota Matters" on AM-950 KTNF, The Voice of Minnesota!  The show runs from 6:00 to 7pm. So, tune in your radio today to AM-950, or listen live on your computer, here.  Joining in-studio will be ace field reporter/political analyst Dusty Trice!

In addition to talking about news, we're going to be interviewing best-selling author Thomas Frank about his latest book, The Wrecking Crew - How Conservatives Ruined Government, Enriched Themselves, And Beggared The Nation".  For years, I've referred to the previous administration as "Boy Blunder And The Plunderers."  In fact, until the misAdministration of Bush The Lesser, I never thought I'd see the day I'd actually miss Richard Milhous Nixon.  I received a copy of "The Wrecking Crew" for Christmas, and discovered a book that concisely explains how and why the GreedOverPrinciples party wrought the damage of they did.

Then we're going to take a break from politics, and talk with a pilot from Minnesota's Air National Guard, who recently returned from a two week disaster relief deployment, flying supplies frrom Puerto Rico to Haiti.  The discussion with The Good Captain will be strictly non-partisan.  Politics has no place with regards to respecting our fellow citizen-soldiers and supporting the job they do.  Our military is all volunteer, and the people that signed up did so knowing that the price they may pay while wearing a uniform might just be the ultimate sacrifice.  Anybody with any problem with what our citizen-soldiers do, needs to take it up with our elected officials - NOT the brave men and women wearing our nation's uniform.  Period.  End of story.

And after that conversation, it's back to politics!

We'll definitely  play "False Or False Witness!" where one lucky caller will have to correctly identify if a quote I read was actually uttered by Michele Bachmann (answer "False Witness!") or if yours truly, the ol' TwoPutter, simply made it up (answer "false").  The fabulous prize awarded, courtesy of show sponsor Common Good Books, is one copy of Bill Prendergast's exceptional comic book:  False Witness! The Michele Bachmann Story (Volume 1).  There might even be a "bonus question", with that prize bein' Volume 2!

So, tune in your radio today to AM-950, or listen live on your computer, here.  Joining in-studio will be ace field reporter/political analyst Dusty Trice!

State Representative and Candidate for Governor Paul Thissen will be in studio for a long conversation about where - as a state - we're at, and Paul's plans to fix the train wreck Tim "I'm the unalloterer!" Pawlenty caused.

Visit PaulThissen.com for more information about this great candidate for Governor!

And we'll also talk a little about GOPer Allen Quist, who has notoriously made national news for saying this:

"Our country is being destroyed. Every generation has had to fight the fight for freedom... Terrorism? Yes. That's not the big battle. The big battle is in D.C. with the radicals. They aren't liberals. They are radicals. Obama, Pelosi, Walz: They're not liberals, they're radicals. They are destroying our country."  -  Allen Quist, 07 Dec 2009

Ed Schultz promised to devote some more national time concerning Allen "ChickenHawk" Quist's disgusting smear tonight, on MSNBC's "The Ed Show" - it'll be interesting to hear if what we talk about, Ed talks about, too.

TPT On Your Radio Today, Friday December 18th - Times Two!

by: TwoPuttTommy

Fri Dec 18, 2009 at 09:29:36 AM CST

Ladies and Gentlemen, yours truly - the ol' TwoPutter - is hosting both - BOTH! - the Friday Editions of "Quick On The UpTake" AND "Minnesota Matters" on AM-950 KTNF, The Voice of Minnesota!  These shows run from 5:00 to 7pm. So, tune in your radio today to AM-950, or listen live on your computer, here.  Joining in-studio will be ace field reporter/political analyst Dusty Trice!

I'm Guest Hosting the first hour - "Quick On The UpTake" - because Host Mike McIntee is in Copenhagen for the United Nations Climate Change Conference.   So we'll be taking about renewable energy; for example, what Hawaii, under GOP Governor Linda Lingle is doing - and what Minnesota isn't doing, under Gov. T-Bag.

As usual, I'll be hosting the second hour, "Minnesota Matters, Friday Edition."  We're going to talk about breaking news and be talking with Mike Tikkanen, author of "Invisible Children (The American cycle of abuse and its cost)."  Mike Tikkanen is the founder of Kid's At Risk Action Group (KARA), a non-profit devoted to protecting and advocating for the rights of abused children.  Christmas Day is in one week, and - sadly - there are too many kids that won't have much of a Christmas - this is one conversation you don't want to miss.

Since Bachmann MotorMouth Overdrive has been especially busy this week, we'll definitely  play "False Or False Witness!" where one lucky caller will have to correctly identify if a quote I read was actually uttered by Michele Bachmann (answer "False Witness!") or if yours truly, the ol' TwoPutter, simply made it up (answer "false").  The fabulous prize awarded, courtesy of show sponsor Common Good Books, is one copy of Bill Prendergast's exceptional comic book:  False Witness! The Michele Bachmann Story (Volume 1).  Bill's comic books make great stocking stuffers; they're practically guaranteed to delight progressive gift getters and P.O. the RightWingNut bootlickers on your gift giving list!!!

So, again, tune in the radio today to AM-950, or listen live on your computer, here.

And personally, I'd like to wish everyone a Happy HannaRamaKwanzMas!  Or not, if that's what you'd prefer....

And, speaking of "not" - the following is posted to remind everyone of the recent vote by Erik Paulsen, R=NO! regarding Regulation and Oversight of the United States Financial System:
