Here is the complete list of legislative accomplishments from Michele's tenure in the MN State Senate and the Congress. Yes, that's right. She has never written a bill that passed. She rarely signs on as a cosponsor to anything that passes. It is obvious from this list that she has never been interested in doing the people's business.
Resolutions don't count. Bills recognizing something or honoring somebody don't count, either. This list includes anything she could possibly point to as some piece of legislation in which she's been involved.
2009
The only possible thing she could point to is she signed on as a cosponsor of HR373 - Expressing support for designation of the month of September as "National Hydrocephalus Awareness Month". Ironically, she consistently votes against stem cell research which might help in finding cures for this.
2008
Nothing.
2007 HR2040 - To require the Secretary of the Treasury to mint coins in commemoration of the semicentennial of the enactment of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. She co-sponsored it.
HR3311 - To authorize additional funds for emergency repairs and reconstruction of the Interstate I-35 bridge located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, that collapsed on August 1, 2007, to waive the $100,000,000 limitation on emergency relief funds for those emergency repairs and reconstruction, and for other purposes. She cosponsored the bill.
HR3315 - To provide that the great hall of the Capitol Visitor Center shall be known as Emancipation Hall. She was a cosponsor.
HR5825 - To amend titles 5, 10, 37, and 38, United States Code, to ensure the fair treatment of a member of the Armed Forces who is discharged from the Armed Forces, at the request of the member, pursuant to the Department of Defense policy permitting the early discharge of a member who is the only surviving child in a family in which the father or mother, or one or more siblings, served in the Armed Forces and, because of hazards incident to such service, was killed, died as a result of wounds, accident, or disease, is in a captured or missing in action status, or is permanently disabled, and for other purposes. Michele was one of 312 co-sponsors (435 members in the House).
